Dennis Loo and Peter Phillips

DENNIS LOO, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Cal Poly Pomona. He graduated with honors from Harvard in Government and received his Ph.D. from the University of California at Santa Cruz in Sociology. He has been a journalist, including as a Photo Editor at the Harvard Crimson and an Associate Editor at the Hawaii Observer. His research and writings revolve mostly around polling and public policymaking, with an emphasis on the roles of media, public officials and social movements. His 2005 article, "No Paper Trail Left Behind: the Theft of the 2004 Presidential Election," received wide acclaim.

PETER PHILLIPS, former director of Project Censored, is Professor of Sociology at Sonoma State University. He is known for his op-ed pieces in the alternative press and independent newspapers nationwide, such as Z Magazine and Social Policy.
